WORKSHOPS In addition to two keynotes and a policy round table, the conference schedule features a full slate of workshops covering many of the latest evidence-based practices that have been shown to reduce recidivism. The workshops will center around three tracks: core correctional practices, mental health, and substance use disorders. Workshops address the needs of community corrections professionals in both residential and non-residential settings and will cover timely topics including: overcoming barriers to day reporting, Operation Street Smart, trauma informed care, working with individuals with substance use disorders in community corrections settings, effective responses to symptoms of mental illness, and motivational interviewing
