PROGRAM SYNOPSIS
This training will provide a foundational knowledge of trauma-informed care and the cognitive-behavioral theoretical orientation. Participants will learn how traumatic experiences lead to symptoms and disorders, and how to adopt trauma informed care practices into work with criminal justice-involved clients. Participants will also learn about the different components of cognitive behavioral therapy, common interventions, and how to integrate trauma informed care into cognitive behavioral treatment.
This session is appropriate for community corrections, criminal justice and behavioral health professionals who are interested in intervention with the community corrections and criminal-justice involved populations.
